According to the World Health Organization “mobile and wireless technologies to support the achievement of mental health objectives has the potential to transform the face of health service delivery across the globe.” While employee engagement rates for conventional services are between 5- 10%, digital platforms can achieve engagement rates above 30%.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a work-based intervention program designed to assist employees in resolving personal issues that may affect the employee’s performance. The core service of EAP is confidential counseling. Confidential counseling is a short-term and solution-focused service offered to individual employees. Employees and immediate family members (in some cases) have 24/7 access to qualified counselors for any psychological problems. EAP also focuses on proactive and preventive measures to help organizations better understand and prepare for mental health issues arising from work/life situations. One of the main inhibitors to using an EAP service is the uncertainty about privacy and confidentiality. RMsEAP understands confidentiality is crucial; therefore, employees are advised about confidentiality both prior to and during the first EAP counselling session. If an individual client wishes for the organisation to know about their counselling, the employee must sign a release of information form specifying the content and conditions of any disclosure of information. AccessEAP is attentive to our responsibilities for the confidentiality of individual client’s undertaking counselling and their employer organisation, as well as its obligations under the law. We are extremely sensitive to both the legal and ethical confidentiality requirements.
TeleHealth is a health service that is delivered by a video or telephone consultation.
Instead of having a face to face appointment with your therapist, a TeleHealth appointment occurs via video or telephone.
No information regarding what is discussed within a counselling session is released to any third party or organisation without prior consent unless there’s a threat to yourself or someone else or subpoenaed legally.
RMs – EAP is a diverse, equitable & inclusive employer with a multicultural taskforce. Our counsellors all have tertiary qualifications in either psychology, social work or counselling & all have extensive experience in the delivery of Employee Assistance Program services. Counsellors are employed on a full time basis & remunerated according to award conditions. Each client is allocated a dedicated counsellor/psychologist to ensure continuity of services & to minimizing the need for employees to repeat their story. Unlike most other EAP providers, RMs – EAP does not employee casual contract counsellors/psychologists to ensure quality control.
Whlie there are a number of variables which may influence usage, such as critical incidents & workplace culture, the industry standard is the 10-5 Rule: 10% of employees will use the service 5 times annually. For example, if you have 100 employees: 100 X 10% X 5 = 50 hours.
