WorkCover

WorkCover refers to Australia’s workers’ compensation systems, which operate at a state and territory level. These schemes provide support to employees who experience a work-related injury or illness, ensuring access to appropriate care, rehabilitation, and financial assistance during recovery.

WorkCover recognises both physical and psychological injuries, including those arising from workplace incidents, trauma, or ongoing work-related stress. As part of this, employees may be eligible for psychological and counselling support to assist with their recovery and return to work.

The aim of WorkCover across Australia is to support recovery, promote a safe and sustainable return to work, and ensure workers receive appropriate care following a workplace injury.
